Central Florida Child Health Program Inc. (CFCHP) was established as a non-profit in 1991 in a response to Florida Legislature recognizing the need to develop a mechanism whereby all Florida citizens could access basic primary health care. To fill this need for primary care services, CFCHP began a partnership with the Department of Health/Children’s Medical Services (CMS) in 1992, providing comprehensive (Medical Home) primary care services to those in the underserved pediatric population in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties who were experiencing medical, social, and economic issues.
